Autumn Get-Together

Saturday the weather seemed a bit iffy - you don't want to drive on rainy roads with a car you did a ground-up restoration on! So Sunday seemed clearer, so we left the house at 6:15 am to drive to the car show. The weather ended up being a perfect November day - I even heard one of the crowd state that there were nicer cars out at the show on Sunday than the day before. There were lots of great cars to look at - lots of newer and more modified cars than back when we did car shows before. The black SS is ours, the red Z/28 is Chris' and the blue '57 was parked next to us.

Chris' car got lots of looks and comments - lots of guys remember having the same type of car back when they were new. He checked out the swap meet for a new horn button and antenna - without any luck. He did run into Mike McGee, an old friend from the Camaro Club. Mike was ofcourse shocked to see this big tall 20 year old instead of the little kid he used to trade Hot Wheel cars with!

So I wonder if you go to Hot August Nights in Reno, NV too! Some great cars.
