the finished project

Now that all the gifts have been received I can show you the fun Faux Woodgrain - aka Paper Veneer - frames I made for the family for Christmas. I added one of those clear acrylic frame deals (the kind with a magnet) so that they can change out the photos whenever they like. The single photo is my Dad and my son on our hike at the White Tank Mtns. in Phoenix. My kids decided they like hiking around here (Big Basin, redwoods, Sierras) better than desert!

Gorgeous!!! I love that you used acrylic frames. I'm always stumped by frame projects where the photo is left unprotected. Where do you get them?

Also love the blog's new look! I'm such a sucker for owls and swirls! And thank you for adding my beauty blog!! xoxoxox

I got the frames at Michaels! Then I just peeled the magnet off the back!
