Stencils and Watercolor

This bright card is made with Distress inks for the medium.  The star background is Distress inks in fun, bright colors and then the cake is water-colored with Distress markers.  Celebrate is embossed with white embossing powder.

To get the background you apply ink to a stencil then spritz liberally with water and then turn it upside down onto some watercolor paper.  The new mini Distress ink pads make this super easy to do.  Then the cake is stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with white powder.  Then I used an acrylic block as my palette and scribbled ink onto it and water-colored the image.

supplies:
Paper - Strathmore 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper
stamps - Unity (cake) Paper Smooches
Ink - Distress inks and pens in Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn and Mustard Seed.
other - Tim Holtz stencil, Stampin' Up ribbon
