This month the technique challenge at Club Scrap is color blocking. There are lots of ways to do this; with ink, patterned paper, embossing and more!
Last night I decided to try playing with my Distress Oxide inks a bit and made a few panels. I basically did "smooshing" - applying the ink to a craft sheet, spritzing with water then dragging my watercolor paper through the ink. I would dry it, then drag and dab through the ink until I got the look I liked. Some I then used my Distress Sprayer to add water droplets which add the white or bleached out looking areas. I stamped the carnation with the distress inks also.
Thanks for stopping by!
